Kirkwood Parmesan Encrusted Chicken Tenders

Kirkwood Parmesan Encrusted Chicken Tenders

School. Scouts. Sports. It keeps all of us very busy and leaves little time to make a fast, hot dinner. With the cold weather creeping in, we NEED that hot dinner to keep our toes warmed so we can keep on going! Enter Kirkwood Parmesan Encrusted Chicken Tenders, your soon to be new favorite easy weeknight protein to serve up to the fam!

These are an every day item at ALDI and can be found in the frozen section. Unlike a lot of chicken nugget/tender products on the market, these come raw. So no quicky zap in the microwave or you’ll be also serving up a side of salmonella.  (Boo!)

Don’t let this deter you though, they’re still easy to cook. Just put in a 425 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. I did mine for 30, and they were cooked a little more than I would have liked, but I’m kind of a nut when it comes to making sure meat is cooked thoroughly. This would have been just fine at 25 minutes, I’m sure. (Always check to make sure your meat has minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees F).

One thing that really stood out about this product is how AMAZING it smelled while cooking!!!  These tasted great too! I loved the crust on these and would love to find an amazing dipping sauce to go with! Last night we stuck with the basics: ketchup, ranch, bbq, but I know there’s gotta be some amazing dip recipe out there (or something at ALDI I haven’t discovered yet!) We also made some Instant Pot Mac & Cheese and a bag of Season’s Choice Steamable Green Beans for sides. Everybody ate and everybody was happy. You couldn’t ask for a smoother dinner.

Each bag has 28 oz of chicken and will set you back about $5.79 (but don’t quote me, because I accidentally threw out my receipt…oops!!) Pop in to your local ALDI and grab a bag for an easy weeknight meal!

  • F = BUMMER! I’ll probably return this to the store.

  1. I appreciate the product reviews on your site but I hate food reviews without photos of the food. The pictures of the bag are nice but it’s the food within the bag being reviewed. How about a photo of an uncooked chicken tender followed by a photo of a cooked one?
