Fit & Active 14 Calorie Bars

fit & Active 14 calorie bars

Guess what’s happening in the ALDI Nerd household? The hubs and I are back to watching our carbs. He is pretty awesome and hardcore about it. I’m a baby and still need my steel cut oats, fresh fruit, and coffee creamer. There are some sugars I just absolutely cannot live without, but I’ve been trying to eliminate a lot of the processed carbs in my diet. Any-who…I’ve been on the search for some low-carb/low-sugar treats for us to enjoy and discovered these Fit & Active 14 Calorie Bars on my last trip to ALDI.

Let me start by saying that artificial sweeteners are just not my bag. I would much rather eat a tiny amount something horribly sugary, than a bunch of “sugar-free” stuff. I have eaten my fair share of artificial sweeteners in the past, but something over the years has happened and my tastes have changed or something. I’m no longer a fan.

That being said, these 14 Calorie Bars really aren’t all that bad. They are a vanilla cream and fruit (strawberry, cherry, or orange) swirled frozen treat on a stick. It was refreshing, sweet, and didn’t give me too much of a “Splenda aftertaste”.  Each bar contains:

  • 14 Calories (surprise!)
  • 0g fat
  • 0g net carbs (3 Carbs – 3 Sugar Alcohols)
  • Sucralose
  • No artificial colors
  • All natural fruit flavors

If you are trying to watch your sugar intake for whatever reason, these may be a good option for you. While this isn’t exactly for me, I have a feeling my husband is really going to like them, and anyone else who regularly enjoys sugar-free products.

This ALDI Find comes in a 10-pack of assorted bars for only $2.29, while supplies last.

The ALDI Nerd Grade: C

Grading Scale

  • A = Excellent! I LOVE this product!
  • B = Good! I really like this!
  • C = This is just okay. I like it, but it’s nothing new or exciting.
  • D = Not Great. I’ll keep it, but probably won’t buy another.
  • F = BUMMER! I’ll probably return this to the store

  1. Hi! New to your blog-glad you might be sharing low carb items/meals. Trying to do that at our house almost exclusively shopping at ALDI and it gets boring after a while. Need some inspiration to mix it up. Love the blog!

    1. Thank you!! I have a little tip from my husband, which you may already know, but he really likes the Elevation Protein Powder (vanilla) mixed with the unsweetened vanilla almond milk. It’s a good filling snack. I’ll try and round up some more low-carb meal ideas if readers are interested! ?

      1. I’ve never tried the protein powder. I use the unsweetened plain almond milk with my cereal-never thought to try it with protein powder. Thanks for the tip!
