I love making sausage for breakfast, because let’s face it, it’s way less messier to cook than bacon. However, I don’t love how much fat you find in ordinary breakfast links. You eat one and you’ve already consumed like 500 grams of fat, and feel guilty about putting another one on your plate. But now I discovered this little gem the last time I hit up ALDI: Kirkwood Never Any! Country Style Chicken Breakfast Sausage.
Never Any! is line of ALDI meat that promises to have:
- No Antibiotics
- No Hormones Added
- No Animal By-Products
- No added Nitrates or Nitrites
- No MSG
I have bought these Never Any! Spinach & Feta Chicken Sausages in the past, and they are delicious! However, they are a little bigger and just aren’t the same as having a breakfast sausage link. I need something to go with my eggs and toast, yo!
These Country Style Chicken Breakfast Sausages are great though! They’re seasoned with sage and thyme and cooked up super easily on the stove. The best part is these suckers only have 2.5 grams of fat per link! I can eat a couple (maybe even sneak a third if I’m hangry!) and not feel like I’m clogging my arteries!
The ALDI Nerd Grade: A
- A = Excellent! I LOVE this product!
- B = Good! I really like this!
- C = This is just okay. I like it, but it’s nothing new or exciting.
- D = Not Great. I’ll keep it, but probably won’t buy another.
- F = BUMMER! I’ll probably return this to the store.
